Passed away at home, aged 70.
Beloved husband of Jennifer and loving father of Sarah, Hannah, Louise & Mary; Grandfather of Sofia, Matteo, and soon to arrive grandson. Adored son of Bill and Betty and cherished brother of Peter, David and Robyn.
Steve immersed himself in many communities, from farming to rugby to viticulture and winemaking. He was well-loved and he will be dearly missed by family, friends, students and peers.
The Brain Care Coordination Nurses, soley funded by this foundation, had an immeasurable impact on both Steve and the family's experience, during the treatment and ongoing management of Steve's brain cancer. We will be forever grateful to the foundation and the nurses for this.

The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a charity formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Mark’s diagnosis with Brain Cancer in 2013. The Mark Hughes Foundation’s mission is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families.
